Katy Perry Shines at Vogue World: Paris Event

Katy Perry made witty remarks as she got ready to appear at Vogue magazine's third annual Vogue World: Paris event.

The gathering at the historic Place Vendôme drew over 500 prominent celebrities worldwide to commemorate a century of French style. Among them were singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter and singer-songwriter Ciara, who walked the runway.

Musician FKA Twigs and supermodel Cara Delevingne were guiding Perry before the significant occasion. FKA Twigs aimed for the "Hot and Cold" singer to present a persona distinct from her familiar image.

FKA Twigs advised Perry to embody what is commonly referred to in many LGBTQ+ communities as the "C-word," which signifies qualities like confidence, sassiness, or fierceness, as described by Christian Ilbury in The Conversation.

Ilbury stated that it's a mindset that anyone can adopt, irrespective of their gender.

In a video shared on Perry's Instagram, FKA Twigs advised her to avoid appearing lifeless and instead exude a sense of purpose, albeit not in a typical pop star manner.

At that moment, Perry interjected, asking, "Haven't I only ever been a pop star?"

The three chuckled as Perry started practicing her walk around the room. FKA Twigs recommended adding a bit more movement in the shoulders, while Delevingne jokingly suggested she strut like a tiger.

Both of them were impressed with Perry's walk, enthusiastically shouting "very good!"

Perry captivated attendees at the glamorous event with a Noir Kei Ninomiya gown featuring geometric designs that created a nude illusion.

Perry made a surprising entrance during the segment of the show dedicated to 1980s fashion and silhouettes. Models showcased designs from Saint Laurent, Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garçons, and other renowned labels.

As the models strutted down the expansive catwalk, they were accompanied by skilled judo and karate practitioners, paying homage to martial arts. The procession also included Nika Taiko, a Japanese drum ensemble based in Paris.

The event marked a celebration of 100 years of French fashion, featuring segments that honored various decades of the country's couture and designers.

Another notable highlight that garnered attention was the arrival of supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid on horseback, followed by their posing for photographs in elegant black designer attire.
